Who are we?
Smartdate, based in Paris France, is a fast growing, VC-backed, international online dating platform. Our goal is nothing short of world domination, at least in the dating space (for the time being, Google can breath a sign of relief). Our team comes from a wide variety of backgrounds from successful entrepreneurs to jazz musicians.
Since the launch on Valentine's Day 2010, Smartdate has been expanding at an ever quickening pace. Due to this delightful expansion, we are currently searching for other talented and interesting individuals to help see us through to total world domination(™).
Our team is hard working, young, serious (at times), and very international. We are working in central Paris primarily in English, yet, French, Spanish and Korean can also be heard from time to time. Job requirements:
-> Previous startup experience and development in an Agile development environment a plus
-> Strong Understanding of Design Patterns and software architecture
-> Experience with large scale deployments a bonus
-> Strong focus on quality and testing
-> Familiar with the NoSQL and other open source movements
-> Understands what is funny about Chuck Norris
-> The maturity to know when to work like crazy, and when to kick back
-> World-class knowledge of: Ruby (Rails) and/or Python
