Camels illusions

Thursday, January 31st, 2013

This picture has been making some buzz for years, though it doesn’t seem so special.

Watch closer!

Yes… George Steinmetz shot this photo from a motorized paraglider and black shapes are just camels’ shadows while actual camels are the tiny white lines.

Can you make the pig sexier?

Wednesday, January 30th, 2013 is a place where ad creatives, designers, animators, directors, illustrators and more took time out to dress up their favourite worst feedback from clients, transforming quotes that would normally give you a twitch, into a diverse collection of posters. I am afraid they often have to "make the pig sexier"

It seems that making pigs sexier is also a concern at famous ad agency Saatchi and Saatchi. The main goal of their "Lovemarks" campaign seems to demonstrate that even a Facebook skull can become sexy when drawn at a properly rounded place… maybe the best way to envision Facebook’s real essence!

Just discovered the brilliant design work of Yeongwoo Kim

I am especially fond of the Pouring Light and the Heels Chair, but every product he designs is both elegant and full of humor!

National Geographic Photo Contest 2012

Monday, January 7th, 2013

You can enjoy some great pictures from National Geographic Photo Contest’s “Nature – Winners Gallery“. I favorite this "Fox à la Baumgartner":

It is very obvious that this fox fell from a spaceship however the photographer has rather telling another story:

With his exceptional hearing a red fox has targeted a mouse hidden under 2 feet of crusted snow. Springing high in the air he breaks through the crusted spring snow with his nose and his body is completely vertical as he grabs the mouse under the snow.

Special bonus for Firefox fans: fire foxes have a true evolutionary advantage in such case since they have snow melt around and never get stuck upside down that stupidly.
